Jimmy Yuill was born 6 March, 1956 in Golspie. He is a Scottish actor who played D.I. Doug Kersey in ITV's detective drama Wycliffe, Victor Brown in Eastenders, Constable Andy Timmins in 2004's Ladies in Lavender, Malo Gagnepain in 2000's 4 part drama Monsignor Renard and Friar Francis in 1993's Award winning film Much Ado About Nothing.

Yuill has many on screen roles like Grushko, Taggart, Doctors, New Tricks, Psychos, Casualty, Boon, Demob, Inspector Alleyn Mysteries, A Touch of Frost, Hamish Macbeth, Dalziel and Pascoe, The Bill, Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Murphy's Law and Rebus.
