Mary Woodvine was born 14 November, 1967 in Hammersmith, London. She is a British actress who is best known for playing Officer Aurelia Took in Space Precinct, W.P.C. Jane Morton in 5th and final series of Pie in the Sky, Miss Lamplighter in The Worst Witch and Mary from EastEnders. Woodvine has also been many roles in The Lark, Grafters, Born and Bread, Down to Earth, Shrinks, Catherine Cookson's The Tide of Life, Intruders, The Midnight Drives, McLibel!, Our Friends in the North, Badger, Doc Martin, Heartbeat, Casualty, Wycliffe, Murder City, Judge John Deed, Doctors and The Bill.

She is trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and was a core member of Kneehigh Theatre in Cornwall, England. Woodvine was the daughter of John Woodvine.
