David Westhead was born 3 November, 1963 in Heywood, Greater Manchester. He is an English actor who is playing Edward Carson in the 1997 movie Wilde, Mark Wilsher in 1989's mini series Blackeyes, D.C.I. Alan Kendall in McCready and Daughter, Neil Reid in 2014's comedy W1A and Brian Middleton in Life Begins. Westhead knows several on screen roles with Bramwell, Endeavour, Lewis, New Tricks, Midsomer Murders, Doctor Who, Wycliffe, Grafters, The Bill, DCI Banks, William and Mary, Foyle's War, Wild at Heart, Where the Heart Is, Silent Witness and Agatha Christie's Poirot.

He was a student who studied drama in Bristol Academy before going on to RDDA, from where he graduated in 1987 when he was 23.
