List of Appearances

P.C Reg Hollis was a character in The Bill from 1984 until 2008.

PC Reg Hollis is one of life's persistent moaners. He enjoys the gossip round the station, true or false, and is always ready to initiate alarm and despondency even where there is no justification. Reg used to be the station's Fed Rep - mainly because no one else wanted the job. He took the job very seriously and was none too please when Nick was elected instead of him.

Reg is a bit of a loner; neither popular nor married, but his unlikely friendship with Des gave him more social confidence. When pushed to the limits however, Reg is resourceful and strong willed - a side of him that is easily forgotten when he is moaning in someone's ear or boring them with the details of his miniature rail track. Despite his social difficulties, Reg was a decent copper, he got on well with the majority of the relief and could do his job in a manner most unique, once telling a social worker that she was wrong about a patient, Reg was right and the person concerned attempted to take his own life.

Reg lives life by a very strong moral code and hates dishonesty or injustice.

He lives alone and has given up on the idea of ever finding love - he is happily married to the job. His hobbies are model railways, and gardening. [1]
