Nick Maloney was born 4 June, 1953 in Liverpool, Merseyside. He is British actor who played two parts in Coronation Street : in July 1983 he appeared as Dave Hinchcliffe who accompanied a Russian trade delegation to Baldwin's Casuals and returned to the programme in May 1998 as P.C. Simons who had an altercation with a drunk Les Battersby.

He also appeared twice in the spin-off The Brothers McGregor in 1987 and 1988 as Reg Twillet.

Aside from these roles, he also appeared in Boys from the Blackstuff, C.A.T.S. Eyes, Gentlemen and Players, ChuckleVision, The Upper Hand, Days Like These, Terry and June, Dangerfield, Outside Edge, Brookside, About Face, Men Behaving Badly, Bread, Only Fools and Horses, Boon, Watching, Agatha Christie's Poirot, The Detectives, One Foot in the Grave, EastEnders, The Bill, Birds of a Feather, Jonathan Creek and The Marksman.

He now works as a website developer in addition to his acting roles.
