John McArdle was born 16 August, 1949 in Liverpool. He is a British actor who played Ian Barratt in The Bill, Supt. Jim Oulton in Mersey Beat, Tonbridge in The Cazalets, he has also been in The Chief, Wycliffe, Finney, Cracker, Born to Run, Brookside, Kavanagh QC, Peak Practice, Where the Heart Is, Casualty, Holby City, Dalziel and Pascoe, Heartbeat, Foyle's War, and Doctors.
