1992 - Demotion: D.C.I. / Transferred: Sun Hill[]
Until 1992, he was a Detective Superintendent, leading the murder squad (AMIP) and made several appearances to the station before being demoted to D.C.I. and transferred to Renfrew Police Special Crimes Unit.
2005 - Acting Superintendent (A/Supt.)[]
In 2005 he assumed the position of Acting Superintendent while Tom Chandler was on leave.
He gave up the position of Acting Superintendent to take leave and spend time with his son.
When he returned from leave, the new Superintendent John Heaton had already started, they got off to a great start and since then they have had an amazing working relationship.
