D.S. Daly and D.C. Rawton work undercover, as husband and wife, running a pub while investigating a protection racket.  Meanwhile, P.C. Garfield and P.C. McCann have to show a magistrate around Sun Hill, nearly blowing the operation in the process. A petty crook with ideas way above his station causes further problems for all of them.
