The Girl Can't Help It is the 296th episode of The Bill.
W.P.C. Ackland and P.C. Quinnan are called to a home from where a girl is missing. Quinnan finds an incriminating notebook that indicates the girl is working as a prostitute, but when he confronts the family, he discovers that the father already knows. Ch. Insp. Conway, fresh from a media relations course, contacts a local radio station to make an appeal about the girl, only to be ticked off by Ch. Supt. Brownlow for not going to the press office about it first. D.I. Burnside takes Brownlow's secretary Marion out for lunch, and while there he notices the girl lunching with a businessman.
