Episode Chronology:

Episode 195 is the 1852nd episode of The Bill.

This episode's alternate title is Intrigue.

June threatens to expose Gabriel's true identity, but he insists he loves her and his job. She agrees to a compromise, she will keep quiet about his assumed identity if he gives her the address of the real Gabriel Kent: her son, Robert. Gabriel refuses claiming He won't want to see you, but eventually relents when he realises June is serious. Posing as a housebuyer, "June Carver", an emotional June visits her long-lost son and meets her grand-daughter, but she is too afraid to tell him her real identity, but he reveals he is moving to America. Sam grudgingly works with Manson to locate dangerous escaped convict Eric Taylor, who has already eluded police twice. When Taylor is spotted, Jim pursues him into a swimming pool complex, and the two end up in the water. Gabriel watches as the two struggle, and is going to let Jim drown until other officers arrive. Meadows' former lover, Rachel Heath, arrives at the station on the eve of her trial for assault and claims she is pregnant with his child. The DCI is intrigued to discover that his rival Manson's father-in-law Roy Pearson, a Deputy Assistant Commissioner with the Met, uses rent boys.

Justin Allder who plays Gabriel Kent is credited here as "June's Son". The character returns in Episode 348, credited as "The real Gabriel Kent" and is played by James Barriscale. He likely didn't reappear due to his appearance in Episodes 127-131 as criminal Vince Foster.
