Eileen Davies was born 23 September, 1948 in Hastings, East Sussex. She is a British actress who appeared on Coronation Street as Judge Carmichael on two separate occasions in 2006 and returned as Emily Bishop's church-going friend Celia Smethurst in March and July 2015.

With an extensive acting career spanning back in the mid-1970s, she has been credited for roles in Village Hall, Red Letter Day, Within These Walls, Meantime, Hardware, Chickens, The Job Lot, Kavanagh QC, Wycliffe, Bleak House, Waterfront Beat, Keeping Up Appearances, Body & Soul, Waiting for God, Home Fires, Doctors, The House of Eliott, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, A Village Affair, Middlemarch, Foreign Affairs, Holby City, Remember Me, Scott & Bailey, The Royal, Seeing Red, Peak Practice, Foyle's War, Vera Drake, Midsomer Murders, The Bill, Afterlife, Kids, Heartbeat, My Hero, Judge John Deed, London's Burning, The Holding and most recently, Sightseers - for which she had nominated for "Best Supporting Actress" at the British Independent Film Awards.
